The West of England Rural Network (WERN) has funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, for a "Rural Connections" project, which supports older people living in rural areas to connect with their communities, and reduce loneliness. TrueSpeed are offering to deliver ultrafast broadband directly to residents' doors - subject to sufficient interest. Following the information event in July 2019, some further drop-in sessions are being planned. Dates, times and venues to follow. Following this year's uncontested ordinary election, there is a parish councillor vacancy. The parish council will be looking to co-opt a councillor at its next meeting on 19 September 2019.
